Look: It pours straw with a white head. Head retention is medium low.

Smell: The aromas have a medium high sour note with vinous qualities and leather. There are also hints of lemon and dough.

Taste: There are leather and barnyard flavors with a bit of lemon and spice. It has a vinous quality to it with a bit of dough.

Feel: It has a medium low body with high carbonation and a very dry finish.

Overall, classic saison finish with saison and wild yeast flavors.

Appearance: Pours a hazy goldenstraw with a frothy head that fades rather quickly; spotty lacing

Smell: Crusty bread and a wallop of Bretty funk, with oak forward and hints of red wine grape, citrus pith, papaya and melon

Taste: The Brett is also pronounced on the palate, with leathery, oaky funk forward; the red wine grape tones build, in the middle, with the citrus pith, papaya and melon adding complexity; the finish is dry with mineral tones

Mouthfeel: Light bodied but almost flat

Overall: My first Twin Leaf beer and, with the exception of the mouthfeel, this is impressive; I am looking forward to the next installment of this series

As is the journey through life, the journey through the craft beer universe begins with one step. And as Twin Leaf enter the wild, they don't tread lightly, they're jumping right in!

Enter The Wild pours with a hazy, doughy canary yellow color, glowing brightly through a diffused appearance. Its dainty and lacy creme teases with a piquant and citrusy fragrance, along with nuances of wine, funk, fauna and grain. Initial sweetness is short and fleeting gliding right past the early palate with notions of pulled candy, saltwater taffy and sourdough.

As the sour flavors mingle on the middle, its full and fruity breadth is realized. Citrusy with the character of weathered limes, grapefruit and lemon but rising with a succulence of dried pineapple, passionfruit and papaya. Under ripened orange and mangos round out the estery and hoppy influence while the finish stews with an acidic and bitter medley of damp hay, saddle leather and dried oak.

Medium light on the palate, the dry beer carries an arid tone that's fueled by brazen sourness, grassy bitterness, light vinous alcohol and a peppery tinge of white pepper and grape seed. A quick aftertaste once again revisits those brisk hints of sourdough and brine before trailing decidedly of chardonnay.
