Sour green apple, lacto and oak. Bright. Wheat in the mid. Balanced sourness. Dry, slick finish. This is a very tasty oak aged sour blonde. Perhaps lacking a bit of depth compared to a true Belgian Lambic, but delicious none the less.

Batch 2; brewed 11/2013.
Appearance: Orange bodied beer with 2 fingers of white head.
Smell: Acetic sourness, bright citrus, oak barrel. Outstanding nose.
Taste: Much the same as the aroma, no surprises here. Moderate sourness I would say a 7 out of 10. Citrus, general fruitiness, oak barrel. Minimal funk, but nice balanced mineral profile. Tastes very bright and very clean.
Mouthfeel: Medium body. Moderate almost high carbonation level. Finish is dry. Carbonation is prickly and sharp; yet it seems creamy as well. Super clean and pretty sour. This is fantastic.
Overall: This is my first wild ale from Transient. They have far exceeded any expectations that I might have had. This is a phenomenal wild ale that is one the sour and clean side of the spectrum. I would like to actively seek out more sour beer from this brewery. If you were to perfectly blend Drie Fontienen Oude Gueuze and Russian River Beatification you would get Transient Pentameter. A side note: I do not consider this beer to be unblended lambic because it was not brewed in Belgium. Pentameter was reviewed it as an American Wild Ale.
