A 750ml brewed 2/16 purchased at the Open Bottle in Tinley Park Illinois back in April. I'm pouring this in a 13oz. Saison glass for the review.
Look- Pours a hazy dark gold leaving a very lively four fingers of soapy white foam despite a conservative pour.
Smell- Big notes of Brett funk along with lemongrass and yeast.
Taste- Citrus forward to begin, with lemon, mild grapefruit and floral notes. The musty-earthy funk from the Brett and oak appear in the finish.
Feel- Lively but very light, crisp and clean. It drinks much lighter than the 6.5 percent abv.
Overall- A wonderful and refreshing beer for warm weather. The mix of citrus, mild funk and oak all complement each other very well resulting in a very flavorful moderate abv. beer that is smooth and pleasing to the palate. I'll definitely be looking for more.

750 ml bottle, bottled 02/16 per the label. My third and final of the first trio of "Oak fermented wheat saison w/ brett". This has certainly been an interesting series so far, so I'm excited for this.
Poured into a Duvel tulip snifter.
A - As with the others, it pours 4 big fluffy fingers of airy white foam with about two fingers of hazy golden orange beer body. Aptly carbonated. Head retains itself well; though it drinks much nicer once it settles down to about one finger's worth of foam.
S - Aroma is crisp, with tons of funky brett in the nose: notes of cold leather, white wine, & white grape. Evokes notes of juicy stone fruit
T - Taste follows the nose: tons of crisp earthy brett: mild funk, very mild tart, notes of dark cherry, leather, white wine, white grape. Mildly acidic, with very subtle oak wood influence. Any wheat flavor is mostly dominated by the brett.
M - Feel is smooth, crisp, clean, semi-dry on the finish. Medium-light, with decent, somewhat bloating carbonation, though it suits the style and the beer.
Overall, i detected virtually no difference between the three different strains of brett showcased in this series, though i have to say i was a huge fan of the beers. A fun experiment, but it would be interested to see more variation next time.
Transient Artisan Ales An Ever Expanding Universe (Batch 1 Volume 3) -----4/5.
