Super cloudy orangish tan colors with just about the largest foam I've ever had on a beer. Brett scents are strong with a mild oak background, but the oak comes through with a little smokiness on the flavor. Mild, very sippable, really enjoyable. Glad the folks at Hailstorm played good hosts to Transient for this.

750 ml bottle, brewed 2/16 according to the label. My first beer from Transient Artisan Ales - this one an "Oak Fermented Wheat Saison W/ Brett" "Brewed and packaged at Hailstorm Brewing".
Poured into a Duvel tulip snifter.
A - Lots of carbonation, it pours essentially 4 fingers of head to 2 fingers of beer body, once it settles out, the head is huge, airy, & fluffy white foam. Body is a medium golden orange, and continues to pour much darker as the bottle drinks on.
S - Tons of earthy brett & yeast-derived fruitiness. Soft notes of the oak wood come through with leathery tones, slight vinous / white wine / grape notes.
T - Dominant brett character, to be sure. Fluffy & airy, with lots of crisp carbonation / earthy yeast. Only a very light trace of wheat, some phenolic / floral alcohol, notes of sweetened fruit - pineapple, peach, maybe some banana. Lots of earthy spicy yeast character, bretty , not traditional saison yeast character. No clove.
M - Feel is smooth & crisp. Brisk, somewhat bloating carbonation. Medium-fullish in body when the carb is taken into consideration. Drinkable stuff. Dry & fruity finish.
Overall, a very unique and interesting brett showcase from Transient, and an excellent introduction to the brewery for me. I'm looking forward to trying the other beers that i have from this brewery.

2016: 4
It held up well. Light bodied, well carbed, Brett forward. Light attic must and dried fruit.
2016: 3.75
Dark hazy orange, billowing head of sudsy white foam, soapy lace around the edges.
Aroma is a bit reserved, not picking up much Brett. Smells mildly of clove and Belgian saison yeast.
Taste is a bit more funky, earthy and spicy with clove and hay notes. Dry finish.
Sort of astringent at first, creamy around the edges, fuller bodied for a saison.
Overall it's okay, was hoping for a bit more complexity. Will pass on the others.
