Pours onyx black with a fizzy dark mocha colored head that dwindles quickly and leaves a ring around the body of the beer. The nose has a heavy bourbon aroma up front, with rich maple and milk chocolate notes following.
The bourbon is more in the background on the taste, with the decadent maple and milk chocolate notes leading and lingering. Delicious stuff, IMHO.
The mouthfeel is rich and creamy and decadent, fitting the beer exceptionally well. This is a style Transient does with a lot of confidence, and they should, because they do it at a world class level, IMHO.

Poured from fridge temp. Pours a gorgeous black with minimal brown head. Looks thick!
The nose is wonderful. Toffee, dark chocolate, roasted malts, marshmallow, subtle blackberries, a bit of bourbon, and a slight maple note. Really nice!
The taste is intense. Sweetness dominates, but there is a slight roasted malt bitterness on the back end. Toffee, chocolate, black licorice, maple, bourbon, and dark fruit. Again, I get blackberries. A bit of raisin comes through as well. The alcohol is definitely detectable on this one, but it's great.
The mouthfeel is thick and viscous. Lovely. Overall, I really love this one. Just a great BA stout!

Pours dark with a quickly dissipating head and some tannish remnants floating up top. Scents of chocolate and bourbon. Very little maple on the nose, but it’s got a strong presence on the taste, and it blends well with the chocolate and bourbon. Medium bodied, mouth watering finish, subtle booze presence. A tasty, flavorful, and balanced beer. Really good.

500ml bottle served in a little Georgetown sample glass. 2021 vintage. Bit of a gusher on open. Received from @FBarber in NBS BIF #14.
Pours black with an initial flash of light brown head. Smell is moderately boozy and very chocolatey.
Taste is only slightly boozy, and surprisingly mellow. Lots of chocolate and a little coffee, definite bourbon flavors, and all well blended and well balanced. I think I get a little bit of maple sweetness and a little bit of anise, too.
Mouthfeel is luscious, soft, velvet. Overall, this is a very nice beer.

I received a bottle of this gem from @fbarber in the NBS BIF #14. Poured into a stout glass. It pours an inky black. The dark mocha colored head fizzled away almost instantaneously. Its aromatic nose features roasted malt, caramel, brown sugar, cocoa, oak, tobacco, and strong bourbon barrel notes. The taste opens with a heavy maple syrup presence, along with roasted malt, cocoa, and freshly-brewed coffee. The bourbon compliments the other tastes. As the stout breathes the sweetness mellows and the chocolate and coffee become more evident. Its mouth feel is moderately thick and creamy with mild carbonation, and it doesn't drink like 13.5%. Overall, Barrel Aged Bowser is a very well-made and thoroughly enjoyable Imperial Stout.

L: pitch black while pouring and in the glass, lacing / head luck lasted
S: big barrel /oak noise
T: barrel taste is less, Chocolate leads the way.
M: on the fence of syrupy . But stays for pastry from be too cloying
0: a tasty pastry stout. But at least for me I could not pick up the maple notes
