Traded for this a while ago, as there wasn't a date on the bottom of the can. This was the first beer that I ever had from Moustache and it wasn't bad so much as it was typical and quite easy to quaff. If you like your IPA's hoppy and dry on the palate, then you've found your match here, although there wasn't much else to this besides those traits...
This poured a hazy apricot with no sediment in the liquid whatsoever. Plenty of head topped this off and the lacing was quite extensive around the middle of my pint glass. Star fruit, Hawaiian Punch, tropical fruit, and floral notes filled the nose as the initial hit from this was of a massive bouquet of flowers that had me wanting a chaser of water to get it down. An increasing herbal tone took hold as this warmed up and I worked my way through this with just a hint of nectar and slickness from that saving this from being a disappointment. It was probably me, and not the beer, that should be blamed as this was old and full of hops that I was unfamiliar with as it took quite a while to pin this down. A basic malt and mild carbonation allowed everything to linger for a while as this wasn't quite like anything I had before.
The alcohol in this was present, but well-hidden, as I finished this off pretty quickly. Maybe this was a "space-age" beer that hearkened back to the futuristic mentality of the '60's. Like the fallout from an atomic blast, the hops lingered for longer than they should have but were still quite a sight - er, feel - to behold. Worth a go once for something different but this might not be everyone's cup of tea, regardless of the novelty factor...

Pours a golden color with an amber hue. A fluffy and sustaining white head. On the nose I get hops and citrus. A very bitter start on the drinking and the bitterness carries throughout each sip. Hoppy and big with slight citrus fruit notes of melon, orange, lemon and lime. A pretty smooth flow with an herbal, spicy and pine finish. The mouth feel is pretty full bodied that drinks heavy. The bitter hops really stick and linger.
Overall, different but pretty good. One of the more bitter ipa's I've had.

Poured from a 16oz can into a Speiglau IPA glass.
Look is a dark orange yellow with an inch and a half head.
Taste is extremely bitter lots of intense herbalness with light notes of citrus.
Taste is extremely intense for a double IPA. Tastes more like an intensity hopped single IPA.
Delicious.

Pours hazy gold color with a 1-2 finger foamy white head that was full of bubbles, fading slowly and leaving very good spotty lacing and rings as it went down.
Smells of peaches, orange peel, pineapple and grapefruit, with graham cracker and biscuit trailing and adding a grainy/malt balance. Pretty basic, bur above average smelling as it masks the ABV masterfully.
Tastes like it smells but with more malt, toasted grains, caramel, butter wheat bread and then orange peel, pineapple lemon, grapefruit, graham cracker, piney hops and light peppery spices. A lot more malt heavy in the flavor, cutting out some of the hop bite and bitterness. Overall a pretty good beer.

What the hell is this? A new DIPA that isn't hazed and brewed in the New England style? Yup! You heard it here first folks - medium gold-colored clear beer with a big head of ivory foam that trailed some lace down the glass. And it's not a fruit bomb? Nope! Pine resin tack and shellac with caramel undertones predominate here... got that big-bodied bitterness and smooth, medium-weight mouthfeel, slight tongue-coating and a little bit of chew. A real winner to my tastes and a welcome break from all those fruity, hazy, plush NE-style offerings I've been enjoying. Reminds me a bit of old school (?) DIPAs like Hercules, Palate Wrecker and Double Jack. Brewed with Eureka, Denali, and experimental hop X06297 - a real unusual combo of hops I don't know much about. No canning information but based on when it was added to the database, I'm guessing it was mid-to-late February, 2017.
