Reviewed from notes. The appearance was a fairly murky brown color with a finger’s worth of a leathery white foamy head. Slight messy lace. The aroma had some earthy hops up front with a moderately sweet woodiness. Subtle tones of caramel/toffee malts come in for a nice balance. Dried leaves at the end. The flavor moderately leans towards the sweet side yet tried to develop some of the spices from the earthiness. It didn’t really do that. Aftertaste had a good malty character with a pure dried sweet malty sort of finish. The feel was about medium bodied with a good sessionability about it. Carbonation felt good. ABV felt appropriate. Overall, this is their better brown ale that I would have again.
