Conshohocken Brewing Co. "Buckwheat Mild"
on tap at the brewery 22 May 2015
Notes: Listed at 3.5% ABV. Clear orange-russet brown body beneath a bright white head of foam. Very good head retention and lacing. Aroma - haha! "groat-like"... buckwheat is neither wheat nor a grain. The flavor is toasty and caramelish, nutty, and mildly bitter. It's surprisingly full flavored for a mild; and somewhat unusual which makes it interesting. Between light and medium in body, and delicately crisp and then smooth across the tongue. Remarkably drinkable!
