-Canned on 6.14.17. Consumed 10.2.17. Sampled in pilsner glass.
A: Deep hazy lemonade coloring, really beautiful setting, with a white capping of 2 fingers in height, with a long lasting appeal. A rapid rush of effervesce fills the vessel with excitement. Much more hazy then your typical counterpart, with large clumps of healthy foam deposits covering the glass.
S: Beautiful lemony-fruit hops and grapefruit. Some breakfast melon, lightly tart, fresh pulp, with an above average awareness per style, again, more american-ized with a twist. Crisp pale malts give a really nice clean backing.
T: Fruity hops for flavor, breakfast fruit, melon, spicy tropical and grapefruit notes, semi-dry in nature. Linger pulp, lightly tart with dry fruit with a high level of hoppiness, bordering on pale ale guidelines. Dry grapefruit hops come off the tongue, lingering with tart citrus and the dried melon as well a touch of alcohol fusels.
M: Sharp and crisp palate from the high carbonation factor that really lights up the tongue and mouthful. Frothy foam build up, very crisp and lager like, perfectly fitting per style.
O: I really like the american influence to this style, if you are expecting a true german traditional experience, then this is not for you. This brings in the love of hops americans have with the new hazy craze to jazz up the style a bit. The palate is very clean and crisp, with a high rate of carbonation, lager like and drinks bigger then its 5% abv while delivering a big hop experience, keeping it clean and crisp, and making for a great summer time drink. Very good as I am always looking for something new, and outside the box, even if this is more pale ale then anything.
