Who in the f**k are you calling a "Jabrone(y)"?!? I CAN't believe that they chose that term as the name for one of their beers! It was either ignorance or apathy, but The CANQuest (tm) will downgrade it acCANdingly Overall.
From the CAN: "GO where the path takes you".
I grudgingly Crack!ed open the ven & beCAN a slow, gentle C-Line Glug as I would do for any other self-respecting beer. I let it do its own thing, rapidly creating two-plus fingers of dense, foamy, rocky, tawny head with very good retention. Color was a deeply-hazy/lightly-cloudy Golden-Amber (SRM = > 5, < 7). Nose had a tropical bent, making it even worse for its ChANces of getting outta my neighborhood alive. Tropical?!? Who needs it? It was a novelty that got outta CANtrol & until it gets its own sub-style, I am gonna happily diss it acCANdingly. Mouthfeel was medium-to-full, pretty big for an AIPA. The taste was less fruity than the nose had led me to expect. Instead, it blended in a pleasant admixture of pine and grapefruit to become something that was enjoyable & drinkable. It became akin to a juice box blend of tropical & citrus, the sort of thing that really revs my engine & trips my trigger! Finish was semi-dry, very fruity as a whole, but not sweet by any stretch. I'd prefer this with eggs during Sunday brunch. YMMV.
