Canned 11/10/21, which is downright ancient. Just kept pushing it to the back of the beer fridge, I guess. Oh well. Drinking it now.
Looks fairly swell; sort of a dirty reddish brown. More brown than red. A finger or two of khaki head thins out to a sheen with little fanfare or lacing. Lot of ginger on the nose, which is cool; I love a good ginger beer. Also has a Belgian thing going on. Oh, they used Belgian yeast, I see. It works; smells sweet and bready and ginger-y. I don't think six months of age is going to hurt this one. Drinks thinner than the sweet nose leads you to expect. Not watery or anything, but thin for sure. Tastes fine enough up front before absolutely falling off a cliff. Not as ginger-forward as I'd hoped. Just sort of a tame, bready Belgian type flavor. I suppose the ginger flavor could actually be passed its peak and fallen off. Flat, disappointing finish, though. Not my favorite beer.

16 ounce can poured into a tulip glass. Canned on 10/19/21, so pretty fresh.
L---Opaque, medium orangey brown color. Fluffy khaki head had good retention and left very nice lacing.
S---Sweet, like a bakery. Smells like ginger snaps and other spices, but I can't play that guessing game.
T---Follows the nose pretty closely. I was excited seeing it was brewed with Belgian candi sugar and Belgian-style yeast, but it didn't live up to expectations. Still good, but I was hoping for more.
F---Medium bodied and we'll carbonated.
O---

First impression is by the nose and it's a good one. The aroma is basically what is advertised. There's plenty of ginger along with some sweetness to be had. Visually, it's a brown ale that's dull and opaque. There's a modest and very light beige head on top that seems to be enduring. The ginger flavour interacts very well with the Belgian style ale. It's not quite as sweet as a ginger snap cookie, but for a beer drinker, that's probably OK. It's rather smooth, but the finish turns a little light to the palate, when a nice rich finish would work better. A very nicely flavoured ale, although a notch or two below a must try.
