The contents of two pint cans dropped into a clear glass liter mug. The brew is the color of pineapple-orange juice and even murkier. Not much topping head, but the glass lacing is notable. An obvious hazed out hop aroma accompanies, bringing starchiness to the forefront. Above average for the style, the absence of sticky sweetness and a dominant hop presence works nicely here. Tasting is consistent throughout, with the hops lingering last at the finish. The body isn't compromised by the softening of the hops and the hops still deliver enough bitter taste. The ABV is barely noticeable. Again, certainly above average.

Nice. A beer from an local brewery that up until today, have not cared for any of their offerings. Not that I've had more than one, or two, previously. And I don't remember, those. But Simcoe being my favorite hop, was glad to see that on the hop bill. Because I am so sick of the frigging NE IPA craze, though a good beer like Sierra Fantastic Haze will always be a staple in my fridge, at $2 a can, what it's worth. I guess, what I'm saying, is I'm so out on the expensive beer thing ... always looking for an value. And, this works, $1.50 beer number 7 in my mix a seven. Would drink again.

I like the dirty look, smells and tastes very fresh, citrus, with bite. Again, that's what's lacking in most of this horrible, generic, genre. Bite. Without it, why bother? Smooth all day, again, bite, nothing mind blowing here but good effort. Man, I miss an Weyerbacher Double Simcoe, or even yet, for those lucky enough to have tried, Simcloud, the NE IPA version which was actually very good. Maybe time to email Weyerbacher, are they still open? Guess so, there's several Blithering Idiot(s) in my fridge ... what and ever. Bored. RacerX5k, out.
