Conshohocken Brewing Co. "Ruby Coast DDH Hazy IPA"
16 fl. oz. can "CANNED 01/26/23 10:24" and sampled on 06/03/23
$2 @ Weis, Conshohocken, PA
Notes via stream of consciousness: I'm not sure why this is called "Ruby Coast" because it's more of a cloudy golden-amber in color. Is the Ruby Coast a real thing? Ah ha, it is! It's on New Zealand's south island between Nelson and Motueka - it all makes sense now! The aroma is floral and tropical with mango, melon, papaya, and orange. It's not overly bright, particularly for a double dry hopped beer, but it's nice. The malt is sweetish and basic, and seems to have a fair amount of oats to it. The flavor delivers some additional passionfruit and a berry-like character which rounds it out, and a light touch of pine and minty herbs. It's firmly bitter and dry in the finish with a compbination of fruit and woody character lingering. In the mouth it's medium bodied and gently crisp. All in all this is a nicely balanced and rounded IPA that's slightly unique and quite easy to drink.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
