i think they pretty much always have this one on tap, but i am just now trying it for the first time. a fine amber, unremarkable though overall, especially in the context of all the other awesome beers they make here, just an easy sipping red, a little raw around the edges but i hate when this style is so refined that it is lobotomized, and that thankfully is not the case here. it has a little haze to it, likely unfiltered, and not much head by the time it makes its way to our table on a busy evening. it smells a little nutty, less than sweet but not quite dry, very earthen rather than caramelized on the grain side, and somewhat bready to me. the flavor has a pleasant and distinctive yeast note that i get in a lot of their beers here, a house yeast with some flavor! its cool here because it keeps this from being one dimensional in the absence of much of a hop profile at all, there is at least some depth because of it. the beer needs more carbonation, its not heavy, but its not all that drinkable either because its flatter than it should be, they need to spruce this up in future batches. a fine pint with much of their delicious food menu here, but definitely unexciting. one of their most approachable beers, but one of their least impressive in my opinion...

On tap at the brewery. Please someone correct me if I’m wrong, but this is the latest year round offering from Cloud 9, and it is exceptionally dull, bland and uninteresting. Weak aroma and taste. Mild dry, bitter finish. Disappointed.

Deeper amber than expected, but no sweat... Okay light tan head... Nose is nutty with some background fermented out caramel.. light citrus hops and some grassy notes too... Good balance between the hops and malt make for a very drinkable brew.. light body.. pretty tasty.
