not my favorite of the hoppy beers in here, although good to see a few new ones last time in. this is only lightly hazy, almost more pale ale than ipa, especially being juice focused rather than bitter on the hop side, and with such a modest abv, but its close. this one is a little overbalanced to me, a touch toasty and sweet from the grain and with a little more body than it needs for what it is, which cloud out some of the hops on my palate. some orange in the nose, a honey note, a little greenness, more freshness there than vegetal overdosing, light cantaloupe too. the flavor is a little muted compared to the nose, and the ferment presents as slightly stressed to me as soon as this comes up a few degrees in temperature, but its not way off. the taste has some herbal character, a little orange juice thing, and then only mild bitterness later on. it doesnt have any of the oats or raw wheat character to me that the best of these are built on, and its a bit overwhelming overall, i have come to really expect all the beers here to be great, so this caught me off guard. a decent drinker, but there are much better choices on tap in here right now...

Draft at brewery. Hazy golden pour, soft, silky head. Aroma too faint to detect much, a hint of citrus. Taste is more pale ale than IPA, mild bitterness, some citrus juiciness. Lightweight IPA, but goes great with the food.
