a solid ipa here and a nice showcase of mosaic, but pretty safe and standard overall, nothing special or radical about this one, and for all the weird and experimental beers they roll with in here, i have almost come to expect a little more from them, but this is a quality ipa that would pass muster with any enthusiast, and i cant complain. a nice beer with the pork quesadilla for lunch, and one i could drink plenty of. it has a little oiliness to the feel which is nice, very low bitterness, but also not overly juicy and dry hopped, just mellow and within range and balanced, even almost in pale ale territory here. subtle kiwi and pineapple from the hops, a little pine too, no greenness at all, fresh as this tastes. a hint of floral honey in the mix, pale barley, fermented clean and pretty dry, just a little hoppy recall on the swallow. approachable as ipa goes these days, nothing aggressive about it at all, and well made, way better than its ratings, as is true with so much of the beer here for a reason i dont know yet. not challenging or boundary pushing at all, but they cant all be, and this was enjoyable and good.

Draft at brewery. Medium amber, hazy, small head. Leaning more on the malts. Caramel and toffee in both taste and aroma. Mosaic hops hiding somewhere. Comes off as the English style.
