Draft at brewery. Medium golden pour, thin skin of head. Aroma is sweet, bready, biscuity. Straightforward malty taste, french bread, caramel, mildly sweet.

distinct from their oktoberfest, both were on the menu when i was in this weekend, this is a much lighter take, paler in color, less body, still some hops to help it finish, and a nice crispness to it, even though it might be an ale and not a lager, they offer such little information on their printed menu, one of my only criticisms of this place, and its a very minor one. this still has a slightly toasted and very european grain profile, the yeast is german through and through, and it seems perhaps a tad more bitter than necessary, but still is the essence of fall session drinking, perfect for a chilly evening on their patio. some nuttiness in the grain, a hint of honey or even maple sweetness, some earthy minerals, very autumnal, very clean to drink, with nice carbonation and an almost refreshing overall vibe for a beer thats quite malt forward. lighter to drink than their oktoberfest, but no less flavorful. these guys always do a nice job with their seasonal selections, and this was a fun one to sip on with some of their beer cheese soup!
