i thought this was quite good, and cool to see some new ones here. i think this place really flies under the radar in terms of beer quality, even though their service and kitchen situation has been in shambles last few times through, people quitting in the middle of shifts and such, at least the beer has been consistently good most of the time. really light golden brew, good head on it from the tap here, only light haziness to it, not as dense as so many, and the low abv is cool too, a bit more sessionable than has become the norm for the style these days. the citrus addition is cool with this. zesty and pithy both, to me natural fruitiness thats super complimentary to the hop profile, also citrus forward, lemon and meyer lemon, tangerine, and light juniper, quite mellow on the bitterness to me, and high on the freshness, very summery and easygoing, bright and without a lot of grain weight or starchiness like a lot of these have. maybe a faint vegetal thing from the hops in the taste, not onion or anything, and not from being over dry hopped, but just sort of persistently hoppy in an almost generic way, the citrus really brings a lot of character to this then, enhancing the hops, light acidity too maybe from it. the whole thing is clean and tidy, properly neutral ferment, juicy from the citrus and the hops but also very light overall, perfect for warmer weather. simple in the best way, refreshing and totally crushable on their patio!

Draft at Cloudy 9. Hazy yellow pour, persistent creamy white head. Pomelo brings light citrus notes to aroma, grapefruit. Taste is subdued grapefruit with a minor citrus zesty bite. Abrupt finish with a tiny lingering bitterness.
