Pours a clear medium gold/yellow with a fastfading white head.
Nose is light pineapple fruit hop with medium assertion. Pleasant but not over powering.
Mouth feel is light carbonation and medium light bodied.
Flavor profile is saison character with assertive hops. It doesn't really work in this one. The beer is out of balance which makes it taste a bit worse than it likely really is. Vegatal undertones with a hop for front. Nothing really invites a second taste although I took several.
Green bitter finish with little finesse and not much to make you want more.

On tap at the Surf 'N' Suds Beer Festival held at Carpenteria State Beach in Carpenteria, CA.
Pours a hazy golden-yellow with a foamy off-white head that settles to wisps of film on top of the beer. Small dots of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is of grain, earth, spice, yeast, citrus peel, and herb aromas. Taste is much the same with earth, spice, yeast, citrus peel, and herb flavors on the finish. There is a mild amount of spice and herb bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a good level of carbonation with a crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is a good beer with unique citrus peel and herb qualities all around.
Serving type: on tap.
