Picked this up on a recent trip to Windmill Farms. Was psyched to see some pretty sweet local cans on my first trip there in a long time. Originally thought that King Harbor was somewhere in San Diego, but turns out it is Redondo Beach. Had tried one of theirs before, giving The Quest (Mosaic) a 3.5 on Untappd on Aug. 1, 2016. Can called for a “Tropical India Pale Ale with Citra & Mosaic Hops.” Sounded good enough. Let’s go.
Poured a pale, semi-hazy color with two fingers of frothy white head. Slow moving bubbles coming up from the bottom of the glass. Excellent foamy spiderweb lacing. Very good retention. (Sight - 4.00)
Smelled menthol, herbal, caramel, floral, trashy Mosaic, spoiled tropical fruit and hints of Citra. (Smell - 3.75)
Tasted better than the nose. Got herbal, bitter, earthy tropical peel, caramel candy squares, Citra, menthol, woody pine, dry resin, mixed berries and light Mosaic. (Taste - 3.75)
Medium body. Oily texture. Average carbonation. Long, bitter finish. (Feel - 4.00)
This was very good overall. Not as good as I wanted for a beer that advertises Citra and Mosaic, but still would have it again. (Overall - 3.75)

Clear dark golden pour with a foamy one-finger white head. Nice big tropical fruit aroma. Taste follows the nose with slightly bitter tropical fruit and resin upfront backed by a good bready malt flavor. Finishes with a really nice lingering bitterness.

Love this IPA - mostly cuz it has the best can design in the world :) Aroma is sweet, tropical juicy hops. Pours a copper golden color - a little dark for my tastes but nonetheless a great IPA. Taste is very hop forward, bitter-resigny with some butterscotch notes. Alcohol is nicely masked by the malt backbone and west coasty hop profile. I love this beer - pick this up and keep the can for your man cave.
