Amber hued and cloudy in complexion. There's a quarter inch of creamy beige on top. The aroma is packed with caramel malt and a backdrop of piney hops. I'm tasting a very caramel to amber malt forward beer with some piney hops playing a background note. The mouth is moderately chalky, malty, dry, and resinous.

This brew is a clear brown color....dark chestnut and sudsy off-white head. The smell is boozy, deep, with an intense roasted malt smell. Dark fruit and rich caramel. Grist-like. The taste is boozy, moderately bitter, and malty. Full in body and warming. Excellent.

Sweet caramel and pine aroma on cracking open the bottle! Pours ruby red, white head that fades fast, The caramel and toasty malt carry it, sticky mouth feel, noticeable hops. But the malt carries this one. A big red ale, as advertised.

Deep ruby/amber color with a bubbly, off-white head of foam. It smelled of caramel and pine. Good roasted malt flavor with caramel & chocolate notes. A sharp piney hop bitterness makes this a fantastic Imperial Red.
