On-tap 2/28/2016 at Pour Farm Tavern in New Bedford, MA, served in a US tumbler pint glass.
A: The beer is a light yellowish gold color, with a large foamy white head that fades slowly and leaves a very thick lace on the glass.
S: The aroma contains funky Belgian yeast, spices, some citrus, light caramelized malts and some hops.
T: The taste starts out with a strong burst of spices followed by some breadiness from Belgian yeast and a hearty but not too heavy malt character. There are touches of wild Belgian yeast sourness and citrus sweetness. The hops presence is mild but brings a decent balance. The after-taste is slightly bready and slightly spicy.
M: Crisp and a little smooth, medium body, medium carbonation, finish is slightly sticky.
O: A little tasty, goes down ok, not too filling, decent kick, good representation of style, this is a decent beer to drink for a while if you’re in the mood for the style.
