Marmalade and pine aromas lead to roast and spice flavours followed by a bitter coffee finish.

440ml can served cold into a tulip. LCBO purchase for $3.45 CDN. Canned April 2, 2025.
Appearance - Rich amber color, slight bit of haze and topped with two plus fingers of frothy and long -lived off-white head.
Smell - Grassy and slightly floral hops with some pine mixed in. Light sprinkling of citrus with graepfruit and melon being the primary combo.
Taste - Somewhat citrusy and sweet to start before some pine and grapefruit barge in. Transitions to some nice malts with caramel leading the way. Balanced and a nice variety of flavors to cycle through each and every sip.
Mouthfeel - Medium-full bodied, a touch gassy but highly drinking with no discernable ABV.
Overall - A well crafted and flavorful IPA that hails from a place not known for IPA's. Worth trying a couple (or more) while their likely limited run here exists.

440 mL can from the LCBO; best before Apr 4 2026 and served slightly chilled.
Pours a relatively clear orange-amber colour, generating an inch of loose, soapy white head that fizzles within two or three minutes. A sudsy collar lives on, with several patches of messy lace sticking to the glass in the process; looks like an old school IPA, and the first sniff all but confirms that suspicion. It smells piney, herbal and earthy, including hints of caramelized sugars, toasted bread, grapefruit, orange peel and some curry spiciness.
Tasty stuff; sure to appeal to fans of classic West Coast-style IPAs. Caramelized sugars, toasted grains and bread smothered with marmalade come through at the forefront, joined soon after by grapefruit, orange and apricot preserves. The flavours take on more of a piney, earthy hop character late in the sip, with spicy, herbal notes also developing; resin, citrus pith and apricot dissipate into a bittersweet finish. Bitter, resiny aftertaste that lingers on the tastebuds. Medium in body, with middling carbonation levels that add some bite to this brew's otherwise smooth mouthfeel. I found this quite easy to toss back, but if you don't care for bitter C-hops then your mileage may vary.
Final Grade: 3.8, a B+. I enjoyed Bravehop and plan to continue buying more, for however long it remains available in LCBOs. That being said, there's no denying that this is a bit of a throwback, and I doubt those who prefer a modern hazy/juicy IPA will be particularly impressed with this. Red IPA fans, on the other hand, should keep their eyes peeled. I'd love to see some more Loch Lomond products brought into Ontario in the future.

Can. Hazy orange with a thick, dense and frothy head.
Smells and tastes of tangerine, orange peel and resin.
Caramel malt backbone noted.
Medium carbonation.
Better than most other Williams Bros supermarket fodder.

Got it in a lidl can. Love the branding on it with the trees and beach, makes for a really unique looking can!
Pours a huge white head that gradually fades with a rather opaque gold/orange look to it.
Smells very citrusy, and tastes likewise with a bitter aftertaste.
Feels slightly grainy and sort of lingers in the mouth.
good ale!

440ml Can from Lidl supermarket (£1.69):
Medium amber with quite a large, foamy white head that's about four centimetres tall & seems to hold well initially with some lacing on the sides too. The nose opens with pine hops & citrus notes before some apricot & mango shows, there's also a little caramel sweetness coming through too without it being overly strong. The taste has more hops showing with the citrus & pine accompanied by light grapefruit plus there's a bit more of the caramel sweetness & light malts here too. Further on I got some tropical fruits in the form of the mango & apricot from the nose as well as a little orange & some sugars seeing things out. It's a medium bodied, well-carbonated beer with a bitter feel & dry finish that was well balanced too though & quite crisp; pretty nice stuff throughout.
