From recent notes on a trip to Boulder, Colorado. On tap at The Post Brewing Pub in Boulder, CO. Pours a very dark mahogany brown, appearing nearly opaque black in the glass with a half finger khaki head with good retention and nice lacing. Aroma of dark toasted malt with a little char, cocoa, a little caramel and mild hops. Flavor is dark toasted malt, coffee-like char, molasses and mild caramel. Light grassy hops in the finish. Medium bodied with light to medium creaminess. I wasn't certain I was up for a dry hopped porter, but this was a great choice. The base porter is very nice, with good toasted malt depth and interesting chocolate and molasses notes. The hops are very subdued at first, but add a pleasant light bitterness to the finish. I was quite impressed with this porter, which went well with my shrimp po boy and cole slaw at pub. Excellent food and beer. I will visit again when in the area.

L: Pours a dark black brown with a creamy tan head and no lacing on the glass.
S: Dark roasted malt, some smoke, some chocolate and a fairly strong floral hop character.
T: Strong roast and smokey flavor, some bittersweet chocolate, but mostly roast and smoke, a fairly strong floral hop character.
F: Creamy body and light carbonation.
O: This beer definitely is on the hoppy side for a porter.
