a super light summer pale ale, but a beautiful and drinkable beer, not boring at all, and with a really cool hop profile that fits the season well. on tap at the broadway location, its nice and light in color, holds an inch of pure white head, and smells of citrusy hops and crackery fresh barley malt, simple really, but distinct somehow, and not too minimal to stand up to some of the big flavors on their menu, in my case a spice blackened shrimp po boy. i think these guys have done an awesome job over the years with beers just for drinking. they have a lot of cool and easy down lagers, pales, and the like, and this is another one that doesnt taste like what everyone else is doing. the hops have some lemon, some orange, and some lemongrass, along with just a pop of bitterness at the end. the body is minimal and the finish is dry, and there seems to be a light fruitiness to the yeast as well, maybe a kolsch strain or something, not sure, but something here sets this apart a little bit. refreshing to drink and really crushable, with excellent carbonation and an obvious freshness. perfect for summer, but i could drink a fair few of these just about any time. the post continues to be underrated as a brewery in my opinion, and their food is awesome too, wheres the love?!

L:. Pours a brilliant yellow with notes of orange and a small fizzy white head, with thick lacing around the glass.
S:. Fresh floral hops mix with a bit citrus and light malt. Smells easy drinking.
T:. Light and crisp some toasted grain, a strong floral skunky bitterness.
F:. Light and crisp.
O:. The hop bitterness kinda conflicts with the light and crispness of the rest of the beer.
