A California Common Stout...this could be unique.
L:. Pours a thicker dark black with a foamy tan head that dissipates rather quickly.
S:. Roasted malt, smokey with some ash, a hint of coffee and bittersweet chocolate. Reminiscent of a schwarzbier.
T:. Smokey with a hint of ash coats the tongue followed by a light chocolate and some roasted malt. Once again reminds me of a schwarzbier.
F:. Smooth medium body makes for an easy drinking beer.
O:. They call it a California Common Stout but reminds me of a schwarzbier which is just fine with me.
