Bottle pours a fairly clear medium brown with thin tan head that dissipates rapidly. Aroma sweet malt and bitter hops. Taste initially typical barleywine malt sweetness with a hoppy/oaky finish. I didn't get coconut at all, really quite oaky. Medium palate with a nice alcohol burn Alcohol fairly well hidden until the finish.
Decent American barleywine with a lot of oak. Interesting but wouldn't seek out again. For a 13% beer the flavors really didn't pop out.
