We are extremely proud to be the first Colorado brewery to use coffee from Kaladi Coffee Roasters. Pours pitch black, but don’t let that fool you, this beer has a massive coffee aroma yet full-bodied and sweet. A great beer to start off the morning with.

Poured from a crowler that I bought two-go. Didn't try it at the source.
Looks just about pitch black, with dark brown highlights. Creamy tan head. Carbonation seems to have held up fine. Good retention and lacing.
Holy smokes, it smells incredible. Rich and vibrantly roasty coffee, and sweet dark chocolate. Smells like Cuban cafecito. Espresso and brown sugar.
Smacks upfront of vibrant, medium-dark roasted coffee, followed by silky-sweet dark chocolate. Hints of vanilla. Definitely lots of milk sugar in this to tame the coffee. Not too much coffee bitterness carries through to the finish, but a little does. Finishes slightly sweet, but actually, mostly crisp.
Medium feel. Finishes a little lighter than the massive flavor would indicate, but not watery or anything like that.
Man, this is a top notch coffee milk stout. I highly recommend this one.

Moderate to large, beige head. Rich and slow to dissipate. The liquid nearly black and no light passes through the edge. Excellent ring lacing after each sip.
Strong, real coffee aroma. I don't get any cream or sweetness to the nose.
Think cold, carbonated coffee. No sugar, no cream. There's a touch of alcohol in the background. Lots of bitterness. For my tastes, this is way too much coffee to enjoy--I do not enjoy true coffee drinks.

Presentation: 32 oz. crowler with the canning date written on the label. Served in a glass coffee mug.
Appearance: The thick, one finger, tan colored head goes away fairly quickly and leaves behind a lot patchy lacing. It's almost black, but a very dark reddish brown shines through in the light.
Smell: There's a rich, fresh, roasted coffee bean scent followed by some dark chocolate and a slight malty sweetness.
Taste: It starts off bitter with some dark chocolate and coffee and it follows with sweeter flavors of brown sugar and milk chocolate.
Mouthfeel: It's thick and rich but quite crisp and not that smooth because of the medium-high carbonation.
Overall: A great tasting stout that would be better with a silkier and smoother texture but is still awesome as-is.

Served On-Tap @ Comrade
A — Pours a dark ruby hued brown color, there is a puffy coffee cream colored head that forms on top and leaves behind some consistent enough lacing, not very dark and looks more Porter than it does Stout.
S — Smell is great, loads of fresh cold-pressed coffee, notes of bitter espresso, bakers chocolate, and deeply roasted coffee. Little bit of a caramel malt sweetness, but overall this is mostly dry and roasted.
T — Much like the nose, with loads of coffee, chocolate, and cream. Bitter espresso, dark chocolate, coffee, delicious, a tad sweet though.
M — Medium bodied, perhaps a bit thin for a Stout, and there is a residual lingering sweetness that makes this one tough to enjoy more than one of.
O — Very good coffee beer overall, I really enjoyed it, just wish it had a higher ABV if its going to be this heavy.
