Pours a dark yellow with mild copper tones. Transparency is foggy. Head is two fingers of white foam. Aroma is rich and full of resin, herbal, and citrus hops. Orange zest precedes mild bready malts. Great nose - punchy. Flavor profile delivers the same sticky hops - resin & herbal - with an addition of floral and citrus hops. Earthy undertones help tether is down a touch. Great punchy start, opens up even more at the mid-point, but finishes hollow or lacking. Mouth feel is medium with a fuzzy, but eventful, texture. Overall, great start, but dampens out fast.

I much prefer regular (non wet-hopped) Superpower to this variant.

another great hoppy brew from comrade. is this the one that one a medal this year? its radiantly clear, shiny like polished crystal in the glass, and a warm sunny brassy orange color with a full inch of white head slowly fading. on tap at park burger rino. it smells really fresh, oily, and big, but the types of hops dont jump out at me as really unique, or as readily identifiable. not sure which all varietals are in here, or are being grown in colorado for that matter, but as fresh and goopy oily as they are, they are somewhat generic. pungent hop aroma and flavor, and its not all citrus, although thats the major family i think. i get a lot of grassy vegetal stuff too, which i think gives the beer a more dynamic flavor, especially in the finish. i cant taste alcohol at all, and there is more than just a pale two row gain bill, giving it a little more cereal character and sweetness to match the hops. long finish too. one thing though is that it doesnt warm up real well, like a lot of these beers open up with a few degrees, but this one kind of falls apart. it gets sharp, more bitter, and dead flat after a few minutes out, and its like the hop aroma that makes this awesome just evaporates or dissipates or something, so drink it quickly. these guys have found a real nice niche with the hoppy beers, this one is killer. i would love to try the oregon edition...
edit: bumpin up a few scores as this wet hopped treat seems to get better every year, and this year its downright incredible! not to be missed folks!
