Wine barrel aged Belgian Strong Dark Ale. Our ‘little guy’ is quite big! Brewed with trappist style yeast, it’s slightly funky. Rested in a red wine barrel for just the right blend of acidity and spice!

Wine BA strong Belgian pale, unknown vintage, probably a few years old.

Bright orange, sharp clarity, a couple fingers of foam that fades to nothing after a few sips. Aroma is mainly fruity esters, pretty smooth, some alcohol traces as it warms.

Pretty syrupy but tastes fine. Ton of dried citrus fruit, mild bitterness. Barrel derived funk that reminds me of Allagash Curieux, bittersweet, big malt base. Full bodied, moderate afterglow warmth. Overall it aged well, could use a touch more carb, but that’s a minor criticism.
