22 ounce gold wax capped bottle purchased at the brewery 3-4 weeks ago, no dating on it but from looking at social media posts it looks like this was a late 2020 release. Served in a snifter, the beer pours dark brown/black with almost an inch tan head. Head retention and lacing are both OK. Aroma is nice, the brew smells like bourbon, vanilla, dark fruit, oak and roasted malt. Taste is similar to the aroma, but there's the addition of some coffee and bittersweet chocolate flavors. Decent amount of barrel in both the aroma and taste. Mouthfeel/body is medium/full, it's coating and a bit creamy with a low/moderate amount of carbonation. I liked this brew, it's my favorite out of their bottled beers that I've tried recently. Worth trying if you get the chance to.
