Served on tap at the brewery in a company goblet glass.
A - 5 - Couldn't ask for a better looking porter. Pitch black in color, full finger of dense, medium tan colored head and lasted a long time. Nice solid lacing.
S - 4.5 - Malts, full roasted coffee bean aroma, medium sweetness, light touches of vanilla.
T - 5 - Full on natural sweet vanilla bean upfront, super roasty malt, fades into a medium bitter coffee and chocolate finish. Really tasty, the oaked variant gives V@S a run for its money!
F - 5 - Full bodied brew, drinks like an imperial stout in the mouthfeel. Thick, coffee creamer consistency, lightly sticky and syrupy viscosity. Exactly where you want a warming beer such as this.
O - 5 - Porter don't normally do much for me, but this one blew me away. It drinks to me like an imperial porter, it is the ultimate slow sipping coffee porter experience. I absolutely can't wait for the day when these guys start bottling their stuff so I can bring some home! In the meantime, it is totally worth it to visit these guys and have some on tap!
