Pours dark brown with a nice tan head. Aroma is malt and chocolate. Tastes creamy and smooth with notes of chocolate and malt. On the downside the feel is a bit watery. Overall the best Books and Brews beer I have had. The more times I have this on tap the more I appreciate it. Just a good tasting, above average stout.

A - Dark body, brown-purple highlights, opaque, thin cast of head and lots of tight lacing.
S - Rich nose of chocolate and coffee, roasted and toasted malt. Yum.
T - Chocolate and mild bitter and acidity, hinting dark coffee and mocha, then a close of slightly sharper bitterness.
M - A little thin, slightly sharp carbonation.
O - A pleasure. Drinkable and lush flavors, brisk. Delicious.

22 ounce bottle, no dating on it that I noticed. Label says 5.5% ABV. Served in a nonic pint glass, the beer pours dark brown with about an inch tan head. Head retention and lacing are both OK. The brew smells like chocolate, burnt/charred malt, and some coffee. I think the taste is similar to the aroma, but there's also a bit of dark fruitiness and lactose/cream noticeable. Mouthfeel/body is medium, it's coating and creamy with a good amount of carbonation. I liked it, it's a solid brew that's definitely worth picking up. Next time I'm in Indy I'll have to buy some more of their beers!
