Pours a clear, dark ruby-amber with a thin layer of head that quickly dissipates to a thin ring. Smells malty with a hint of astringent, bitter hop character. Palate has some thin metallic notes that are a bit distracting and push this towards a hybrid between a wee heavy and an old ale. Minimal barrel character.
