As noted, this is the kitchen sink of beers, one of the craziest experiments I've ever witnessed that really and truly works. Impossible to rate to style, but this is one hell of a beverage. It pours reddish-amber, with a finger of creamy head that leaves some attractive lacing behind. The smell is a doozy, with brandy, cherry cordials, pineapple, and hints of grapefruit and piney resin from the Chinook hops. The flavor profile is full-on cherry vanilla and plum, with significant hoppy bitterness that emerges after the initial sweetness. The mouthfeel is luxuriously full and unctuous, like syrup from the cherry cordials.
Absolutely a dessert beer, this is a boozy sugar-bomb that owns its 13.5% abv. Comically over the top and flavorful--I wouldn't say it's trying to be balanced, but there is a lot of complexity from the myriad ingredients. Worth trying if you're in the Indy area, but I am sure it would be polarizing.
