Quite an interesting barleywine. Rather than being a classic English style, this has quite a bit of light fruit on the nose and palate, cherry and apricot and jujube. I'm reminded of trying CBC's Arquebus recently, which is made with grape must and aged in white wine barrels; Barley and Me is not quite so refined, but it has a similar vinous quality to it. Malt plays second fiddle here, with few caramel or specialty sugar notes. Full bodied and with a long, sweet finish.
