A clear, brown pour with a finger of head that fizzes audibly before disappearing. There are hints of a tasty beer lurking under the surface, but unfortunately, it's infected. At the very least, the lacto has gone too far in the year since it was bottled (my understanding is that despite the 2016 on the label art, this made its debut in December 2015). I am a big fan of Books & Brews and grabbed a bottle based on it being a release unknown to me at the time; apparently, it was a Big Red Liquor exclusive, which explains why I hadn't heard of it. However, now it's a tart mess that, while still being somewhat interesting and better than some kettle sours I've been okay with in the past, is not at all worth the price of admission.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
