Lightly hazy-gold in appearance, topped with a creamy off white head.
Nose is pale and biscuit-like malts with a touch of Noble hop character at the end, very much like a Pils in profile.
Drinks and tastes much as it smells, and it would be no problem to put a few of these down. A hint of lemon rind in the hop character, and maybe a hint of oat as well, as this is a bit creamier and less astringent that the average Pils.
The can has a best before date of 01/04/2019 on its printed, wraparound label. I’m told that this is a limited release can and beer, and it was hard to find and had a price to match (don’t ask!). The can art was provided by a very hip and cutting edge Icelandic cartoonist who is absolutely new to me, but I’m sure Google can tell me. ^_^
I had this one alongside “Viking Beer”, which is a more straightforward adjunct lager down to the “pounder” can, and nothing much to crow about apart from its affordability (which at $5 a can would shock most American cheapskates).
But “Summer Balls” is a real winner, with excellent drinkability and a concept that works. Hopefully they brew it again!

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
