After trying their tasting tray of all four beers (125ml each, 3.2 pounds in total!!!) brewed on the premise, I found this one, quite frankly, the only drinkable beer over there. It's said to be brewed by the Meantime brewery for Mash, yet from Mash's own website it's brewed at the premise of the Mash bar/restaurant? Don't know which is true.
A: a light golden hue with gentle fizz and no head...
S: the better part of this beer--diacetyl buttery, flowery ester, strawberry scent, lightly apple-like aroma... quite soft hop aroma reminiscent of Czech Pilsner, but this one has a even softer appearance and not as hoppy and aromatic. Smelling like a hybrid of different styles of blond beers and pale lagers...
T&M: lightly lager-malty upfront, with a hint of honey and spice, leading to lightly peanut-like maltiness and a refreshing hoppyness; in the finish a medium-bitterness lingers... the mouthfeel is smooth mostly yet slightly watery and flat towards the end.
D: a quite balanced beer, esp. with a low-fizzy body it goes down rather well.

Pours a standard yellow/gold color with a large white head tht produced medium lace.
Aroma is moderate sweet malts and a very citrus quality with floral hop notes.
Flavor is high in acid and a light malt and biscuit note, the hops add a moderate spice and a dry finish.
Mouthfeel is smooth and refreshing and pretty well-balanced.
Drinkability is high and could see some time at the bar with a few of these.

The quintessential lager color on the pour a transparent gold, the head masterful in size and bright white in color with the texture creamy, as it dissipates the lace a satiny curtain to conceal the glass from view. Sweet malts dominate the nose, almost lime like, quite fresh to the senses, quite appealing in its own peculiar way, sweet malt start, top is middling. Finish is briskly acidic, the hops purposeful in their spicy bite, dry and a fine little lager, actually bought an extra 12 bottles from the beer club. How strange an English Lager I actually found appealing, will wonders never cease.

Bright yellow to light gold with a decent white head. Lemony and grassy hop aroma and flavor. Although that dominates, there is a good soft malt backing and balance. Light bodied with a nice lemony dry finish.
I can only describe simply as a nice "English Czech Pils" ...
Per M.J. notes: 1044 OG / 11 Plato. Pilsner, Munich, and Carahell malts. Perle, Hallertau-Hersbruck, and Czech Saaz hops (23-25 IBU). Lager yeast from Weihenstephen.
Best Before: 02/01/02
Tasted: 10/03/03
(11.2 oz. bottle)

Light gold color, small head, malty aroma with a hint of lemon. There is a lemony initial taste which fades to a lightly malty and hoppy. Carbonation is tingley on the tongue. Interesting beer, light flavor but tasty and refreshing. Mouthfeel is bubbly. Finish is dry and clean. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.

Pretty nice, fresh herbal aroma and taste, but its not too pronounced, slight bitter finish, overall pretty light and not that exciting, but i found it too be quite pleasant, and what flavour there was good, and it was well balanced, still it is quite sad that this is their best beer (IMHO).
