APPEARANCE: Amber body. Clear. Off-white head ~1cm in height. Dies within 2 minutes.
AROMA: Amber malt syrup and caramel are all that get by my hyposmia.
TASTE: Bready. Caramalt. Amber malt. A hint of herbal hops. It's neither very good nor very complex.
TEXTURE: Smooth, wet, medium to full-bodied, unrefreshing, a bit syrupy, a bit too thick.
OVERALL: One might notice I didn't remark on the presence of honey above. Obviously, that's a problem in a honey ale. It's drinkable but forgettable fare...not a beer I'd reckon is worth seeking out over Chinese macros when traveling mainland China.
