JT Schmid is really hit or miss. I have a feeling someone really cared a lot more about their IPA and Stout recipes than he did about ... everything else.
Pours a plain amber. No head, which is a serious problem with every JT Schmid brew I've had. What gives?
Smells like ... almost nothing. Faintly of earthy/piney hops. Taste is also bland. I would easily mistake this for a light ale. Too watery.
Stick to their IPA and Stout.

Appearance: Medium copper-color with a dense single-finger foam collar which is light tan in color
Aroma: The nose was one of hoppy goodness with the hint of caramel malt and alcohol
Taste: Malty sweetness on the initial trial, quickly followed by hoppy pleasure somewhere in the 30-40 IBU range
Mouthfeel: Quality grains give a nice 'almost full' mouthfeel on the front while the finish remains a tad thin
Drinkability: Ranks just below the Stout as my JT's sure bet
