draught
Nearly no head. Very pale straw look. Belgian blonde style, allspice/clove/mace subtle aroma, with a little fruity tinge, on the off-dry, light toasted malt base. Thin, off-dry, spiced fruity flavor, on a quite light amount of lightly toasted malt, for the foundation.

this one is super clean, and as well made as it is, neatly fermented and all, its real samey. this is precisely what white wheat, pale barley, and french saison yeast fermented at its ideal temperature looks like in a beer. nothing interesting or distinguishing about it at all, and this is not the kind of saison that excites me, but from a technical standpoint they did a nice job with it, its just hard to imagine this being someones passion project or anything, too formulaic for that, but still, good beer by any measure, just approaching sterile, which is not why i drink saison. its crystal clear and golden in color with a tall white head on top of the globe they pour it into. it smells and tastes like cut flowers, white wine, belgian/french yeast esters, and a very stereotypical 3711 yeast profile overall, pears, green grapes, green apples, elderflower, jasmine, biscuit from the malt. its neither earthy or funky, and has very little character outside of the yeast and just a bit of a noble type bittering hop, its just a better made version of a beer we have all had a million times. a little too safe for me, but i will certainly not argue the quality. drinkable enough, not overrun with esters, and quite dry. good but unexciting.
