Dark brown with decent head on soft pour. It left a slightly lacy residue on inside of glass. Dark fruit flavor, slight industrial bitter follow.

Poured from the tap at the brewery into a 4 oz flight glass. Color is deep brown, almost no translucency. Head is solid and hangs in there for a long time. Lace remains on the glass.
Smell is typical stout notes, some coffee, but a nice cream and anise note.
Taste is creamy, malty, and very pleasant anise.
Mouthfeel is buttery, little fizz, like a warm blanket.
Fine stout, and a step removed from the typical coffee/chocolate combo.
Would recommend to daring beer drinkers.

On draft at the brewery. Black body with a small beige cap that leaves spotty lacing. Dark fruit and roast character. Medium bodied, finishing with a touch of bitterness. There's a rubbery aroma that is getting distracting. Could use more chocolate and roast character. Eh...
