Appearance: pours a translucent raspberry Amber color with a bright off-white foam head. Decent retention. Some sticky lacing.
Floral in the aroma. A little bit of apple and spice You're just you're not liking the bitter at the end It.
Taste: a little bit of caramel and spice, maybe some dark fruit. A slightly sour bitterness in the finish.

This is the best red ale that I have ever tasted. It has a hoppy character plus a beautiful color and finish.

July 27th, 2015 - Beer two in our flight at Fogbelt's Brewing Company is the Hyperion Red Ale. The marketing was on point - this is a red ale with a almost a berry blue blush, and a thin head. The aroma is heavily scented with cinnamon and apple skins, with a slightly rusty quality, but also a slight mustiness, like a day old dish sponge. Continuing the theme of cleaning supplies, the flavor is a little soapy, with a touch of caramel and bubble gum. Not overly sweet, it is more soapy and floral, with a cleaning but acrid finish.
