This is served on Nitro-tap at the brew pub.
Appearance is a dark gold, almost copper color. Very thin head that more or less wraps around the edge of the glass, not uncommon for and ESB.
Has aroma of "strong" hops, not strong hop aroma. has malty touch, but overall very fresh and clean.
Taste is has touch of malt at the front and piney hops at back. Aftertaste has good hop punch to it. Very clean and dry finish. You can tell very clean and good water was used.
This, like other ESBs, are low in CO2 to the point it is almost flat. but the way I understand the definition, it is supposed to be that way. This lets the hop flavor sink in.
Overall, very good beer. Nice balance. Very good representation of the style. I would gladly have another and maybe another after that.
