So fruit beers are my guilty pleasure... I'll admit it. I'm not ashamed.
While on a roadtrip vacation we saw a billboard advertising this place and decided to stop. Hotel rooms are $20-$40 cheaper here than in Milwaukee itself-- so it worked out perfectly.
Anyway... Had the sampler tray, and THIS was the one thatstuck out as being the best beer on tap... And that included a sample of the RIS aged in whiskey barrels.
Served in an imperial pint glass. $4.75
A purple hinted body is clear and light. Not a huge head, maybe a finger. Theretention and lace are about what I expected for a fruited lager.
Smells like fresh blueberries. Really. Very nice. The light lager underneath is merely the transport vessel for pure blueberry goodness. That is what come across in the flavor as well-- blueberries all over. A light crisp lager yeast note on the finish keeps the sweetness in check.
The body is medium/light. Low carbonation, but works well enough.
This was the only beer I ordered a pint of after trying 6 in the sampler-- and it was hands-down the best. Very very nice an drinkable.

Upon questioning the barkeep I was informed that this is a different beer from their previous Blueberry Light. I've never had a fruited lager so I wasn't sure what to expect but tried to keep an open mind.
Appearance
2 finger fizzy purplish-pink head on a straight pour. Crystal clear grape colored body.
Aroma
Very clean smelling with blueberries. Has a definite sugar/juice like aroma to it. Not very complex but it does smell good.
Taste
This is a clean lager fruited with blueberry juice. Not much else although there is a flash of malt. Not as thick as Leinenkeugel's Berry Weiss and definitely better done. While it's refreshing, it's not particularly complex.
Mouthfeel
Watery light but it is a light lager at 3.5% abv. A bit of carbonation bite to accentuate the tartness of the blueberries.
Drinkability/Overall Impression
There's not much to say about this beer. It's very straightforward and isn't done poorly and it seems most brewers tend to screw blueberry beers up. I'd get it again as it is refreshing and a step above Berry Weiss. Goes down almost like water due to the low abv and mouthfeel but the lack of complexity/character has me reaching for a different beer.
