NOT RETIRED! On tap at the Brewhaus nearly year-round. Since this is directly from the brewery freshness is never an issue; a nearly perfectly crafted IPA that will satisfy serious hopheads but is approachable for the IPA novice. Excellent balance in terms of flavor, perfect amount of carbonation, and a smooth, substantial but not heavy feel. This beer blows away just about all of the competition, and is NOT retired.

On tap at brewpub.
Golden color - an interesting nose - not as hoppy as I would expect.
Ok - up front flavors of an IPA - bitter - some malt here - but hop orientation. The mouthfeel is bit thin. The bitterness and easy drinking charcahter works - especially with spicy food.

This beer pours a nice copper color with minimal head that fades quickly. The aroma is citrusy and earthy though fairly subtle. The flavor is nice, with a balance of mild grapefruit flavor and malt. The beer feels nice on theh palate... smooth, but not slick or creamy. Very drinkable. If I had more time, I would have had another (or another 'nother). A nice, mellow IPA. Perhaps it should have been more difficult to discern from their ESB, but overall fairly nice.

Hazy light copper appearance. A thin ivory white head skims the surface. Lacing is intricate. I get the sensation of walking through a Pine Forest when smelling this brew. Heavy on the pine needles. The flavors are obtuse in this beer. Not a beverage for the weak of heart. Blunt pungency. Big Time resin characteristics. And citrus and pine up the wazoo. This fucker is raw. And I love it. The malt backbone has what it takes to lay the foundation as well. Going through a growler of this tonight will be no problem at all.
