Clear gold, thin white head, decent retention but no lace
Lots of yeast character in the aroma, fruity esters abound, as well as a bit of black pepper. A bit of earthy, bready malt peaks through.
Spicy, bready, and fruity. This is what I want in a saison! A little bit more earthiness would push it over the edge into awesome.
A little bit too heavy for a saison, and not effervescent enough.
Great potential on this one. Add some brett and bottle conditional in champagne bottles to 4-5 atmospheres and it'd be world class.
