Poured from a can at fridge temp. Pours light brown with a thin layer of off-white head. The nose is pine needles, citrus peel, malts, and a floral note.
The taste is awesome. Hoppy notes come from both the citrus peel and pine. Bitter all the way. Some malts and toffee, but mostly bitter hops. A slight smoky note, along with some leather an oak. A really great beer.

16oz undated can poured into a nonic pint glass at fridge temp 8.5% ABV 78 IBU per can. The beer pours opaque medium amber with khaki colored head. The head recedes to a thin cap and leaves a web of lacing. The aroma is mild with citrus, pine and earthy notes. The taste is more rye influenced with earthy, spicy malt and more piney, citrusy hop flavor. Medium bitterness. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with less than medium carbonation and a semi dry finish. Overall, good.

I am trying this beer off the tapper at the brewery as part of a four sample flight. It a hazy amber with thin white head that is leaving some lace. The scent had bright bitter hop notes with subtle citrus and grain highlights. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with bright sweet malt start that turned a dry bitter finish with subtle grapefruit. The mouthfeel was medium in body with good carbonation. Overall it is a good beer.

Reddish-brown body exhibiting a thick, sticky head; sheets of foam coating the glass. Mildly spicy and sweet aroma. Rich flavors of spicy rye and notes of pine; caramel sweetness; some hazelnut; excellent hop bitterness at the finish. Heavreay body; dense and velvety; relatively sweet but also delivers a warm dryness to the palate.
This is an immensely satisfying imperial IPA. The rye component is well-played, adding some interesting depth to the overall taste. The body is rich and satisfying with little alcohol presence noted.

Imperial Red Rye IPA
This beer pours a deep rust color with ruby and copper highlights. It is topped with two inches of tan head that leaves a lot of lacing as it recedes.
The smell is earthy and spicy from the rye. Citrus notes are also present.
The taste follows the aroma. The spiciness of the rye compliments the citrus of the hops. It is delicious and harmonious.
Medium mouthfeel
This is a high quality rye IPA. If that is your thing, seek it.
