Served in a Phoenix Brewing pint glass
This beer pours a brilliant amber color. It is topped with a couple inches of beige head that leaves rings of lacing as I consume.
The smell is citrus and pine with some malt characteristics.
This tastes like an old school west coast double. It has some grapefruit and pine with a bitter finish. The malt that I smelled is not to be found in the taste.
Medium bodied with a pillowy mouthfeel
This goes down well for a DIPA. It is very well done for the west coast style. Sometimes I forget what they taste like with the Mid-west versions and NE versions so plentiful in my state.
